Rule Against Perpetuities. Notwithstanding any provision in this Lease to the contrary, if the Term has not commenced within twenty-one (21) years after the date of this Lease, this Lease shall automatically terminate on the twenty-first (21st) anniversary of the date of this Lease. The sole purpose of this provision is to avoid any possible interpretation of this Lease as violating the Rule Against Perpetuities, or any other rule of law or equity concerning restraints on alienation.
