Sabbatical Leave - Purpose. The Board may grant a leave of absence for the reasons set out in I.C. 20-28-10-3 for a period not exceeding one (1) year to a Teacher upon written request for a sabbatical leave in accordance with this Article. Section 1: Any Teacher granted sabbatical leave shall be paid at the rate of fifty percent (50%) of the salary the Teacher would have normally received as a full time Teacher. Section 2: The Teacher shall receive a maximum of one (1) year credit for retirement under the rules of the Indiana State Teacher Retirement System.
