Salary Adjustment on Lateral Transfer. In the case of a staff member successfully applying for a position in their current salary grade (lateral move), the staff member may be placed at their current salary, or at an appropriate salary between the floor and the ceiling that is no more than 3% above the current salary, based on the University’s assessment of the staff member’s qualifications and experience, whichever is greater.
