Salary Payment and Benefit Premium. 11.3.1. The School Division shall top up Supplementary Employment Benefits (SEB) to one hundred percent (100%) of the teacher’s weekly salary for the duration of the health-related portion of the maternity leave at a minimum of six (6) weeks to a maximum of ninety (90) calendar days, or to the extent of sick leave entitlement as per Article 10. 11.3.2. When the teacher is not eligible for Employment Insurance Benefits, the teacher will have access to sick leave benefits as per Article 10. 11.3.3. The teacher shall provide a medical certificate or written statement from a midwife registered with the College of Midwives of Alberta in order to access the SEB plan or sick leave.
