Salary Reduction A reduction in pay from one step to another, which is not below the minimum rate established for the position by the salary plan. The employee must be interviewed by the concerned department head or designated representative and served with a written notice of salary reduction. The reduction in pay of any regular employee requires the approval of the City Manager. A copy of the notice of salary reduction shall be sent immediately to the Administrative Services Department for inclusion in the employee's official personnel file.

Status of Salary Schedule The salary schedules are not to be construed as part of a teacher’s continuing contract. In the event a successor Agreement is not entered into prior to the expiration date of this Agreement, a teacher shall be compensated according to the previous year’s compensation until such time that a successor Agreement is executed.

Reaching Agreement 1. As tentative agreement is reached on each issue, it shall be so noted and initialed by each party. When consensus is reached covering the areas under discussion, the proposed agreement shall be reduced to writing as a tentative agreement and submitted to the Association and the Board for approval. The Association and the Board agree to abide by the terms of the agreement and to take the necessary action to advise their respective members of the terms of the agreement in the manner that they see fit.
