Common use of Scaling Point Clause in Contracts

Scaling Point. All logs produced from the Timber Sale Area shall, unless otherwise agreed in writing, be scaled at a site designated in the approved Operating Plans. PURCHASER shall use its best efforts to ensure that logs are scaled within thirty (30) days of harvest. If deductions are made for rot, check or other defects resulting from PURCHASER delays in scaling exceeding ninety (90) days, Stumpage Fees shall be paid to the STATE as if the rot, check or other defect was not present.
