Scheduling and Notice of Shift Rotation. When the need for required shift rotation is identified prior to the date all schedule requests are due, the schedule deficits shall be posted so volunteers may be sought first. If no one volunteers prior to the date all schedule requests are due, the manager or designee will assign RNs to cover the deficit staffing in accordance with the unit guidelines for coverage. The manager or designee shall provide reasonable notice of the assigned shift rotation to the affected RN.
