Common use of Scheduling Commissioning Clause in Contracts

Scheduling Commissioning. Integrating commissioning into the construction schedule is critical to the success of the project. The Contractor must be required to include specific commissioning activities throughout the entire construction period, starting as soon as equipment and components can be made available for commissioning. Doing so facilitates the Contractor’s and subcontractors’ awareness of inter-related sub-completion requirements which otherwise are often overlooked. Not only must such comprehensive schedules be prepared but they must be reviewed and updated weekly to ensure that all affected parties are maintaining appropriate progress.
