School Calendar - Composition. The Board shall establish a calendar of at least one hundred eighty-five (185) days, of which one hundred seventy-six (176) days shall be pupil contact days and four (4) days of which may be institute days. If one (1) of the four (4) days is not used as an institute day, it shall be a pupil contact day. The calendar shall also include five (5) emergency days. If the emergency days are not required to be used during the course of the school year, teachers shall not be required to teach on such day(s).
