Posting of Vacancies. Once a vacancy is declared, it shall be posted in all school buildings, district website, and posted at the District Administration Office. The vacancy notice will include a statement of minimum requirements. No vacancy shall be filled until posted for a minimum of five (5) work days. Vacancies that can’t be filled by a qualified applicant may be assigned on an interim basis. This assignment may not extend beyond the end of the current school semester. Such vacancy will be reposted as needed to find a qualified applicant.
Posting of Vacancies. Whenever a vacancy occurs which the Employer determines to fill, the Employer shall post notice of the opening on the official Human Resources Department web page at xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx.xxx, for a period of not less than seven (7) calendar days. The posting shall carry the position classification, title, number, the hourly rate of pay, minimum acceptable qualifications, and shift hours. The work schedule and work location shall be included. A posted vacancy may be canceled during the posting period but may only be canceled after the posting period for lack of funds. Upon request, the Employer shall furnish the Local Union with documentation of the lack of funds. To this end, professional positions in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District, which the Committee has decided to fill for a period in excess of twenty (20) school days, will be publicized by sending notice suitable for posting to each Association Building Representative and to the President of the Association contemporaneously with such vacancy posted on the district and the association website and the advertising of such vacancy with other sources. In all cases where school employees are being noncompetitively reappointed to extra duty positions, no posting shall be required. If an employee is not to be reappointed he/she shall be notified of the non-reappointment before the position is posted. The current practice of posting professional positions not involving promotion or salary differential will be continued for informational purposes. During the school year, the Superintendent will not make any final decision with respect to filling a vacancy not involving promotion or salary differential prior to three (3) school days from the time a posting notice is sent to the Association in accordance with the first paragraph of this Section.
