Scientific Papers. The performer shall publish scientific papers in accordance with the Attachment No. Statement of Work. One (1) copy of each published scientific paper shall be submitted via email or otherwise provided to the DARPA Agreements Officer’s Representative, DARPA Program Manager, and DARPA Agreements Officer. Scientific Papers shall be marked with Distribution Statement A: Enclosure 1 Conformed Copy P00009 Agreement No. HR0011-12-3-0006 Attachment 2 "Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.”
Scientific Papers. Each Party through is Alliance Manager shall provide to the other, prior to submission of a draft of any articles and papers, including primary reports of Data, pooled analyses, theses, dissertations and review papers concerning a CoDev Product, which have been prepared by or on behalf of such Party or under a CoDev Product Plan (each a “Scientific Paper”) to be published in medical and scientific journals and similar publications (“Medical Journals”). Commencing with the receipt of such draft Scientific Paper, the receiving Party shall have [***] Business Days to notify the sending Party of its observations and suggestions with respect thereto (it being understood that, during such [***] Business Day period, no submission for publication thereof shall take place) and the Parties shall discuss these observations and suggestions. The receiving Party shall have the right to require modifications to such Scientific Paper to remove the Confidential Information of the receiving Party if so requested by the receiving Party. The Party proposing to publish such Scientific Paper shall, in good faith, consider the comments made by the other Party, particularly if disclosure may be prejudicial to the other Party’s opportunity to obtain any Patent. The other Party may in good faith require that the publication be suspended for a period of time not exceeding [***] days if a Patent may be filed using the Data or other Know-How covered in the proposed publication, which period could be extended to an additional [***] month period with respect to Data or other Know-How useful to enrich the Patent applications provided that in the event such additional delay is requested, (a) such requesting Party must reasonably demonstrate the need for such extension by providing the other Party with a detailed rationale and explanation therefore along with a reasonably detailed work plan as to how such delay and experiments may improve patentability and (b) the Parties will discuss in good faith the scope and duration of any such extended delay (not to exceed such [***] months). Neither Party will publish or present any Confidential Information of the other Party without such other Party’s prior written consent. The sending Party shall provide to the receiving Party a copy of each final Scientific Paper published by a Medical Journal within [***] Business Days of publication thereof.
Scientific Papers. The JSC will establish a subcommittee to review Scientific Papers and establish an annual publication plan which will be presented for review and approval by the JSC. Each Party, through such subcommittee, if applicable, shall provide to the other, prior to submission of any Scientific Paper to a Medical Journal, a draft of such Scientific Paper. Commencing with the receipt of such draft Scientific Paper, the receiving Party shall have [***] Business Days to notify the sending Party of its observations and suggestions with respect thereto; it being understood that, during such [***] Business Day period, no submission for publication thereof shall take place and the Parties shall discuss these suggestions if requested by either Party. The Party proposing to publish such Scientific Paper shall, in good faith, consider the comments made by the other Party, particularly if disclosure may be prejudicial to the other Party’s opportunity to obtain any patent rights. A Party will not publish or present any Confidential Information of the other Party (whether in a Scientific Paper or otherwise) without such other Party’s prior written consent. The sending Party shall provide to the receiving Party copies of any final Scientific Paper accepted by a Medical Journal, not less than [***] Business Days or as soon as practicable prior to the planned publication thereof (upon availability and distribution of such information assuming that providing such information is acceptable taking into consideration the publishers’ requirements). To enable free exchange of copyrighted material between the Parties, each Party agrees that it has or shall (a) obtain and maintain, at its own expense, an annual copyright license or equivalent license from the Copyright Clearance Center and (b) list the other Party as a collaborator in an agreement with the Copyright Clearance Center.
Scientific Papers. Throughout the project, the CompBioMed consortium will publish numerous scientific, peer- reviewed papers, conference proceedings, and chapters in books. Such publications will contain the following passage: “This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 675451.”
Scientific Papers. ALRT and PARI shall work together concerning any materials that are to be published that relate to the Products or the Intellectual Property Rights.
Scientific Papers. Throughout the ▇▇▇, the CompBioMed consortium will publish numerous scientific, peer- reviewed papers, conference proceedings, and chapters in books. Such publications will contain the following passage: “This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 823712.” We will publish in a variety of high-impact journals across the domains in the ▇▇▇. Targets include domain journals such as the Nature Group, Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, Journal of Medical Chemistry, PLoS (Public Library of Science), Computational Biology, e-Life, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Heart Rhythm, American Journal of Physiology, Circulation, Frontiers in Physiology, Journal of the Royal Society Interface, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Journal of Physiology or more general computational science / HPC journals such as the Journal of Computational Science, Journal of Uncertainty Quantification, the Journal of Supercomputing, Supercomputing Frontiers and Innovations. All publications will be made open access, at either Green or Gold level. Gold open access is where an author publishes their article in an online open access journal, often paying to unlock open access in a journal (CompBioMed2 has funds for this purpose, held by each partner). In contrast, green open access is where an author publishes their article (often a preprint version) in any journal and then self-archives a copy in a freely accessible institutional or specialist online archive known as a repository, or on a website.

Without prejudice of the provisions set forth in Section 10.4, each Party through the JSC or its designee shall provide to the other, prior to submission for publication, of a draft of any articles and papers containing Confidential Information or concerning the Product which have been prepared by or on behalf of such Party in the Field (each a “Scientific Paper”) to be published in indexed medical and scientific journals and similar publications (“Medical Journals”). Commencing with the receipt of such draft Scientific Paper, the receiving Party shall have fifteen (15) business days to notify the sending Party of its observations and suggestions with respect thereto (it being understood that, during such fifteen (15)-Business Day period, no submission for publication thereof shall take place) and the Parties shall discuss these observations and suggestions. The Party proposing to publish such Scientific Paper shall, in good faith, consider the comments made by the other Party, particularly if disclosure may be prejudicial to the other Party’s opportunity to obtain any Patent. Neither Party will publish or present any Confidential Information of the other Party without such other Party’s prior written consent. The sending Party shall provide to the receiving Party copies of any final Scientific Paper accepted by a Medical Journal, within ten (10) business days after the approval thereof (upon availability and distribution of such information assuming that providing such information is acceptable taking into consideration the publishers’ need to comply with any healthcare compliance guidelines).
Scientific Papers. Licensee may present, disclose or publish any information, data (including Data), and other results related to a Product in the Field that have not previously been presented, disclosed or published (“Product Information”) through scientific publications in accordance with this Section 10.6.
(a) Licensee shall provide to Licensor, prior to submission for publication, a draft of the proposed submission concerning the Product Information which have been prepared by or on behalf of Licensee (or by a Clinical Study site contracted by such Party as sponsor of the relevant Clinical Study) or through any Investigator Sponsored Clinical Studies (each a “Scientific Paper”) to be published in indexed medical and scientific journals and similar publications (“Medical Journals”).
(b) Commencing with the receipt of such draft Scientific Paper, the Licensor shall have [***] to notify the Licensee of its consent or denial with respect to the publication of such Scientific Paper (it being understood that, during such [***] period, no submission for publication thereof shall take place).
(c) In the event the Licensor consents to the publications, but has comments thereto, Licensee shall, in good faith, consider the comments made by the Licensor, particularly if such publication may be prejudicial to the Licensor’s opportunity to obtain any Patent rights.
(d) Licensor may require that the publication of such Scientific Paper be suspended for a period of time not exceeding [***] to permit a Patent to be filed on inventions, patentability of which could be negatively impacted by the prior disclosure of the proposed Scientific Paper.
(e) Neither Party will publish or present any Confidential Information of the other Party without such other Party’s prior written consent.
(f) The Licensee shall provide to Licensor copies of any final Scientific Paper accepted by a Medical Journal within [***] after the approval thereof, subject to applicable Medical Journal publisher’s rules, guidelines and any other health care compliance guidelines.
(g) To enable free exchange of copyrighted material between the Parties, each Party agrees that it has or shall (i) obtain and maintain, at its own expense, an annual copyright license or equivalent license from the copyright clearance center and (ii) list the other Party as a collaborator in an agreement with the copyright clearance center if required by such agreement.

Scientific Papers. A detailed list of all the publications (published, in the process of revision, submitted, and in preparation for their submission) will be made available on the website. As agreed among the EUPHORIC consortium, all the scientific partners that have cooperated and have been actively involved in the specific study will appear as authors in these papers. In any case, the list of authors will end "on behalf of the EUPHORIC working group" and the names of the participants in the working group will be listed in the acknowledgements.
