Common use of Scope of Work Road and Bikeway Engineering Services Clause in Contracts

Scope of Work Road and Bikeway Engineering Services. Consultants must be experienced in all types of design related to roadways and bikeways, including geometrics, design speeds, safety, hydrology and hydraulic analysis, soil mechanics, and computer programs related to roadway designs. Typical tasks may include preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for design of roadway and/or bikeway projects. The requested services consist, in general, of preparation of preliminary design studies and reports, documents related to the design and construction of roadway and bikeway improvements. Certain related support services as described herein may also be requested. This General Scope of Work exemplifies the types of work that may be required. A- E Tasks may include, but may not be limited to the following: A. DESIGN SERVICES 1. Supplemental and/or lead design services may be required for various County projects. A- E shall conform to the requirements, criteria, standards and guidelines. 2. A-E shall submit electronic files containing all plan sheets and details which shall be compatible with the CAD drafting system (AutoCAD 2020 version) used by County and shall be suitable for inclusion in engineering reports. A-E shall submit electronic files containing all supporting calculations, software analysis, independent checks, quality take offs, estimates and specifications associated with the roadway or bikeway designs. 3. A-E may be required to produce exhibits and appendices that may include presentation drawings of various sizes for public presentations and in-house design seminars. Construction plans and/or detail exhibits sufficient to conduct design seminars and public meetings. All plan, profile and detail sheets prepared as construction drawings shall conform to the OC Public Works CADD guidelines and standards and shall be computer ets. A-E will reproduce construction plans -E may be required to prepare plans on bond with topography screened on the plan view. A title sheet with an index reference may also be required.
