The second and subsequent implementations of the IQMS on a particular educator differ from the first implementation in the following way. • Teachers will need to be evaluated by their DSGs only once per annum. The “summative evaluation” at the end of the previous year becomes the “baseline evaluation” for the next year. It is therefore necessary to do only the summative evaluation at the end of each year (for performance measurement purposes) and to compare this with the summative evaluation of the previous year in order to determine progress. • Only new teachers, entering the system for the first time will need to be evaluated at the beginning of the year.
