Common use of Second Meal Period Clause in Contracts

Second Meal Period. A second meal period of not less than one-half (1/2) hour, and not more than one (1) hour’s duration, shall be received in tours of duty of more than ten (10) hours, during which a first meal period was received. If an employee does not receive a half (1/2) hour second meal period, one-half (1/2) hour will be added to the tour of duty to be paid at the appropriate rate.
