Second Surgical Opinions. Benefits will be provided for examinations for second surgical opinions in connection with a non-emergency surgical procedure. A non-emergency surgical procedure is defined as a procedure which has been scheduled at the patient's or Physician's convenience without jeopardizing the patient's life or causing serious impairment to the patient's bodily functions.
