Common use of Secondary Late Start Clause in Contracts

Secondary Late Start. [a] Secondary schools will allow time for teacher collaboration, implementation, and planning one (1) day each week, as approved by the Board. In the event that an late-start day falls on a holiday, no late-start planning time will be provided for that week. [b] Late-start time is to be used for teachers to work in collaboration or individual activities for implementation and planning. Each school's JSSC will have input into the use of this time. [c] The total time for students to be in class shall meet the state requirements and the total teacher time shall meet contract obligations.
