Section 8.2. Vacations. 45 All employees subject to this Agreement shall be credited with hours of vacation credit based on hours 46 worked during the period September 1 through August 31. Such vacation credit shall be earned, 47 vested, and used as designated in this Article.

Weeks of vacation granted individual employees shall be proportional to their assigned 21 workweek. 23 Less than full-time employees may be allowed to take up to five (5) days vacation during the time 24 school is in session. The date of the vacation shall be mutually agreed to by the supervisor and the 25 employee in advance. Such request will be granted unless it will cause a major disruption to the normal 26 activities of the District. Such judgment of the school administration shall not be unreasonably

Upon termination, any 23 employee that has used more vacation time than earned will have an unearned vacation time deduction 24 on their final paycheck. 26 All vacations must have prior approval of the employee’s supervisor. Employees who are denied 27 vacation due to the critical needs of the District shall be allowed to re-schedule or carry-over the 28 vacation time at the option of the employee. If an employee cannot use all their vacation earned for 29 unforeseen circumstances, the employee may be allowed to buy back up to three (3) days at the 30 employee’s hourly rate with supervisor approval. Vacations shall have the following limitation of use:
32 1. Vacation cannot be used during the two (2) weeks prior to the start of school without 33 the supervisor’s approval.
34 2. Employees must provide at least two (2) weeks prior notification to their supervisor of 35 the intent to use vacation.
