Safe and Healthy Work Environment. 14-1. Safe and Healthful Working Conditions. Bargaining unit employees shall work under safe and healthful conditions.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. The parties mutually recognize the benefits to be derived from maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and that the Employer and the employees shall co-operate in striving to maintain health and safety conditions. The Employer and the Union, in keeping with the relevant legislation, agree to promote the development of safe working practices amongst employees, in order to reduce health hazards and the risk of accidents. An employee who suspects that an unsafe or unhealthy condition exists will report this to the Supervisor at the first reasonable opportunity. If the unsafe or unhealthy condition continues to exist then the Employee shall report the condition to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee Chairperson. The Employer and the Union agree to establish and maintain a Safety Committee comprised of two (2) Union members chosen by the local union and two (2) Employer representatives appointed by the Employer. The Committee shall meet on a monthly basis.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. The Board will strive to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all Association employees.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. The State recognizes the importance of providing a safe and healthy work environment for HCWs/PSWs while recognizing the rights and responsibilities of the Consumer/Employer to manage the work environment.
a. Workers have the right to initially decline working for a Consumer/Employer who lives in a situation which could threaten the HCWs/PSWs health and safety.
b. If the HCW/PSW is currently working with a Consumer/Employer and the situation becomes threatening to the Worker’s health and safety, the Worker must:
1. Contact the Case Management Entity immediately. If the event occurs afterhours, or on a weekend, the Worker must contact the Case Management Entity by the first (1st) business day after the event.
2. Call 911 if the situation is life threatening or dangers.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment.
12.1 The employer is committed to improving the work health and safety of all employees.
12.2 The parties are committed to supporting sector-wide guidelines to ensure work health and safety of employees, including remote employees and where travelling for work is required.
12.3 The parties are committed to achieving and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, free from inappropriate workplace behaviour and bullying.
12.4 The employer will take all reasonably practicable steps to:
a) xxxxxx a culture of respect in the workplace; and
b) ensure employees are treated appropriately and not subject to inappropriate workplace behaviour and bullying.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. 1. It is the responsibility of Management and employees to address unsafe or hazardous work conditions. Employees are to bring any unsafe or hazardous condition to the attention of their immediate supervisor in writing as soon as the employee becomes aware of the situation.
2. Employees also need to keep their xxxxxxx informed as to such situations so they can be discussed during scheduled Labor-Management Committee meetings.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. Each employee covered under this Agreement shall have a safe and healthy work environment that meets legal standards and job requirements including access to a quiet and confidential area, facilities that have suitable space, ventilation, heat, and lighting.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. The Board will provide a safe and healthy work environment for all bargaining unit members. When the contrary exists, the Board will investigate the condition and, when appropriate, take steps to address the situation.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. As with clauses 10 and 11, this clause notes the commitment of the parties to ensuring that the employees covered by this enterprise agreement work in safe and healthy workplaces. It is necessarily a general statement. Details of the rules relating to the provision of safe and healthy workplaces are contained in departmental policies and the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011 and its subordinate legislation. This is a new clause.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment. Family care room
51.1 The CEO will, where reasonably practicable, establish a family care room to provide a resource for employees to carry out aspects of their normal duties while caring for dependants, as an alternative to taking leave. This room is to be for occasional not regular use.
