Common use of Security Self-Assessment Clause in Contracts

Security Self-Assessment. As part of the athenahealth Marketplace, Athena requires all partners to complete an initial security self-assessment that will be scoped and reviewed by a third party vendor selected by Athena (“Security Assessment Vendor”), at Partner’s expense. In order to stay on the Marketplace, Partner will complete the security self-assessment within 90 days of commencing the Pilot. Security Assessment Vendor will review the self-assessment completed by Partner, may request additional information from Partner, and will then provide a score of pass or fail to Partner based on the review of Partner’s materials. Partner must receive a passing score from Security Assessment Vendor to participate in the athenahealth Marketplace. In the event that Partner receives a failing score, it will have 90 days to resubmit a self-assessment to Security Assessment Vendor and receive a passing score; provided, however, that Partner shall be responsible for the cost of such resubmission.
