SENIORITY DISTRICTS Clause Samples
The 'Seniority Districts' clause defines how a workforce is divided into separate groups or districts based on seniority for purposes such as job assignments, promotions, or layoffs. In practice, this clause specifies the boundaries or criteria for each district, such as geographic location, department, or job classification, and determines how employees' length of service is recognized within each district. By establishing clear seniority districts, the clause ensures fair and consistent application of seniority rights, prevents disputes over job movement or layoffs, and helps manage workforce organization efficiently.
