Departmental Transfers. The Transfer of an Employee from a Position in one job title to another Position in the same job title in a different department shall be called a departmental Transfer, and may be made only with the consent of the Appointing Authority or authorities concerned and the Employee; provided, that if, in the judgment of the Appointing Authority of the department to which the Employee is Transferred, the services rendered by the Employee are not satisfactory, or if the Employee feels that the new Position is unsatisfactory, such Employee shall be returned to his original Position at any time within thirty (30) calendar days after the department Transfer is made.
Departmental Transfers. Employees making application to the Company, and accepted by the Company to transfer from one department to another (maintenance to operator or reverse) shall not retain departmental seniority in the department they have vacated. Such employees will retain Company and accumulate Company seniority for purpose of vacation and pension entitlements. Further, such employees changing from one department to another will commence seniority in the new department as of the day that they are accepted by the Company in their new department. Employees electing to change departments under this provision will remain in their new department.
Departmental Transfers. Officers may be transferred by their Bureau Director, either temporarily or for the duration of an annual bid period, to another shift or station. Such transfers shall only be for the following reasons:
1) Providing adequate police services;
2) Inability to perform assigned duties;
Departmental Transfers. SECTION 17.1: Transfer to another Department into a job with the same classification and qualification is permissible for the benefit of the College upon agreement with the employee in question. Effective September 1, 2005 employees transferring from Monroe County will begin new accruals and dates for benefits and retirement at the College. Request for a transfer by an employee to another Department into a job with the same classification and qualifications will be made to the Department Heads involved and to the Director of Human Resources. Employees transferring between College Departments will not lose any accumulated time or any other fringe benefits.
SECTION 17.2: Where there is a conflict of requests by two or more employees with equal skills and qualification, seniority in the job classification shall be the deciding factor. Employees desiring to fill a posted vacancy shall submit their name and the position desired to the Human Resources Department of the College. No employee may transfer laterally more than once per year, unless agreed to by the College.
SECTION 17.3: The College agrees that a reassigned employee shall receive at least forty-eight (48) hours verbal notification of reassignment, except under emergency conditions. Within fifteen (15) business days following the employee's reassignment, the College shall send written notice to the unit president of the employee's reassignment with a copy to be placed in the employee's personnel file.
SECTION 17.4: In the event an employee hired by the College on or before September 1, 2005 engages in a promotion or lateral transfer between a County of Monroe facility and the Monroe Community College leave credits shall be retained by the employee and accumulate based upon the employee's original seniority date. Employees hired after September 1, 2005 who engage in a promotion or lateral transfer between a County of Monroe facility and the College, leave credits and original seniority date will begin with the College date of hire.
Departmental Transfers. Where a warehouse employee transfers to the position of a driver or when a driver transfers to the position of a warehouse employee, the transferred employee will be credited with the seniority that he has earned while in his new position. After one (1) calendar year, the employee’s original seniority plus one (1) year will be credited to
Departmental Transfers. 9.01 Any employee wishing to transfer from one department to another may make application in writing to the Human Resources Department. The Company shall place the applicant on a list in accordance with his plant seniority. After the transfer is affected, an employee who is not satisfied may return to his former department within ten (10) working days and will return to his former position. Employees at the last step of the Progressive Discipline Procedure will be bypassed until their record meets acceptable standards, at which time they will be eligible for the next opening.
Departmental Transfers. 15.01 Nothing in this Agreement shall prevent an employee from being transferred to work in any other classification, provided that such transfer is made in conformity with seniority rules, reductions in force, or when the transfer of any employee is necessary because of work availability in other departments. It is understood, of course, that an employee so temporarily transferred shall return to their regular job or department when the need for their service is no longer required. It is also understood that any employee so temporarily transferred shall be paid in accordance with Article 14.
15.02 Any employee who is transferred to another department due to reduced production shall automatically revert back to their regular job when regular production is resumed, providing they have not in the meantime taken another job posting.
Departmental Transfers. An Employee who transfers departments shall retain existing departmental seniority from their previous department and accumulate separate departmental seniority in their new department from the date of transfer. In the event of a layoff, an Employee subject to layoff may claim their retained departmental seniority within a department previously worked, and if necessary due to the limitations of the department, such Employee may bump another Employee with less departmental seniority. Any Employee bumped shall be subject to the layoff provisions and other relevant provisions within this agreement, including this one. Transferring departments has no effect on an Employee’s accrual toward their company-wide seniority, pursuant to the accrual of seniority in this agreement. Should a departmental transfer occur as the result of a department splitting into multiple departments, determination of allocation of Employees shall be decided by individual Employee choice in order of highest company-wide seniority first, as far as these choices align with the necessities of the new departments, as determined by the Company.
Departmental Transfers. In the case of applications for vacancies of new job classifications, the transferred employee shall only be credited with the seniority he has earned in the department in which the vacancy or new job classification has occurred.
Departmental Transfers. 21.7.1 The Company shall grant up to forty-seven (47) departmental transfer requests per year commencing October 1st of each year not including Appendix B.
