Seniority List Established Clause Samples
The 'Seniority List Established' clause defines the creation and maintenance of an official list ranking employees based on their length of service with the organization. This list typically determines the order of precedence for various employment decisions, such as promotions, layoffs, or shift assignments, by referencing each employee's hire date or accumulated service time. By formalizing the seniority list, the clause ensures transparency and fairness in personnel actions, reducing disputes and clarifying expectations among employees regarding their standing within the company.
