Service Computation Date Sample Clauses

The Service Computation Date clause establishes the official date from which an employee's length of service is calculated for purposes such as benefits, leave accrual, or retirement eligibility. This date may take into account prior service, breaks in employment, or specific rules about creditable service, and is typically used by HR departments to determine an employee’s entitlements. By clearly defining when service is considered to have begun, the clause ensures consistency and fairness in the administration of employment benefits and helps prevent disputes over service-related calculations.
