Common use of SHELF LIFE ITEMS Clause in Contracts

SHELF LIFE ITEMS. (a) Seller shall ensure that when Goods provided under this Contract have a shelf life, that at the time of receipt at Buyer’s premises, the Goods are provided to the Buyer with a minimum shelf life remaining of: i. Greater than 90% for spare part orders (indicated in Purchase Order header – ‘ship to’ location code embedded in the ship to address - L02), and; ii. Minimum of 25% for Production Orders (‘Ship To:’ all other ship to organization codes, e.g. L01, L05 & ED2) (b) The Seller shall ensure that shelf life items are specifically marked for identification and control. Shelf life marking shall be shown on the Packing Slip, intermediate and unit packaging, and individual items. Items that cannot be physically marked or tagged due to a lack of marking space or because of a deleterious effect need not be individually marked. Two labels are required per item, one as per Drawing requirement and one to meet shelf life requirements Type I shelf life item marking shall include, one as appropriate, the date manufactured, date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only), or date assembled; and the expiration date. Ex MFD Date 10/13 Cured Date 4Q13 EXP Date 10/18 EXP Date 4Q18 Type II shelf life item marking shall include, one as appropriate, the date manufactured, date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only), or date assembled, and the inspect/test date.
