Shift Assignments in an Emergency. The Chief of Police may alter assignments, to include mandating officers to work in a declared emergency. An emergency is defined as any event declared as an emergency by the President of the United States, the Governor of the State of Ohio, the Athens County Board of Commissioners, the Athens County Sheriff, the President of the University or designee, the federal or state Legislature, or when the Chief of Police determines that circumstances significantly affect the safety, and health of the Campus community.
