Sick Leave and STLDP Eligibility and Allocation for Teachers in a Term Assignment. Notwithstanding the parameters outlined above, the following shall apply to Teachers in a term assignment: i. Teachers in term assignments of less than a full year, and/or less than full-time, shall have their allocation of sick leave and STLDP prorated on the basis of the number of work days in their term compared to 194 days. ii. Where the length of the term assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/STLDP to occur. If a change is made to the length of the term or the FTE, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively. iii. A Long Term Occasional Teacher who works more than one LTO assignment in the same school year may carry forward Sick leave and STLDP from one LTO assignment to the next, provided the assignments occur in the same school year.
