Common use of Sick Leave for Preventative Medical and Dental Care Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave for Preventative Medical and Dental Care. Employees may be allowed to take sick leave in order to engage in personal preventative medical and dental care. The employee shall be required to show proof of having received such care. The employee must endeavor, to a reasonable extent, to schedule preventative medical and dental care during off duty hours. Employees shall provide a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours advanced notice of his/her appointment, except in extenuating circumstances. Leave under this clause shall be deducted in accordance with Clause 22.03.
