Special Requests for Released Time. a. Requests by the SEA for SPS staff members to be released for a period not to exceed five (5) consecutive days as special consultants to participate directly in a collective bargaining session on a specific proposal or issue, when the consultant's particular expertise would contribute to the development of a full consideration of the matter being discussed, shall be in writing to the SPS. Copies of written requests for released time shall be presented to the Chief Human Resources Officer or their designee, Labor Relations, and administrative supervisor as soon as possible, but not less than three (3) working days prior to the date of release.
