Sponsored Health Insurance - Defined Benefit. 1. In addition to the salaries provided pursuant to Article V, the Board currently participates in the State of Kansas Health Plan and pays 95% of a single insurance plan to each full time employee eligible for the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System. Each employee will have the option to purchase up to a family plan in the defined benefit package or to purchase a plan approved by the insurance committee with additional benefits and lower deductibles. An employee shall have the option of not participating in the district health insurance plan upon furnishing to the district proof of group coverage elsewhere.
