Standard Error Estimation Sample Clauses

Standard Error Estimation. One of the drawbacks of using an EM type algorithm is that calculating standard error estimates can prove difficult. While various methods have been proposed to estimate the observed information matrix (Xxxxxxxxxx and Xxxxxxxx, 2000; Xxxxx, 1999; Xxxxx, 1982), for this study, since Monte Carlo techniques are required to approximate the conditional expectations of the MLEs, we apply MC approximations to strategies similar to Xxxxx’s method to estimate the observed information matrix (Xxxxx, 1982). i Let lobs = Σn log fp(Y p|X, θ) denote the observed log-likelihood, fc(Y p, Yi[-1]|X, θ) i the density of the complete data for pool i, and Qi = Eg[log fc(Y p, Yi[-1]|X, θ)], the ith component of Q. Then the Hessian can be written as: d2lobs ( dθ2 (3.9) n Σ = fp(Y p|X, θ) d2 dθ2 fp(Y p|X, θ) — i d p | log f (Y p X, θ) dθ log f (Y p X, θ) d p | dθ

  • Cost Estimates If this Agreement pertains to the design of a public works project, CONSULTANT shall submit estimates of probable construction costs at each phase of design submittal. If the total estimated construction cost at any submittal exceeds ten percent (10%) of CITY’s stated construction budget, CONSULTANT shall make recommendations to CITY for aligning the PROJECT design with the budget, incorporate CITY approved recommendations, and revise the design to meet the Project budget, at no additional cost to CITY.

  • Cost Estimating The Model may be used to develop cost estimates based on the approximate data provided and conceptual estimating techniques (e.g., volume and quantity of elements or type of system selected).

  • Acceptable Estimating System The Contractor shall maintain the acceptable status of their Estimating System and submit updates to the current status, if applicable

  • Estimates and Reconciliation of Estimates Where estimated expenditures are used to determine the amount of the drawdown, the State will indicate in the terms of the State unique funding technique how the estimated amount is determined and when and how the State will reconcile the difference between the estimate and the State's actual expenditures.

  • Cost Estimate An estimate of the total project cost including but not limited to direct expenses, indirect expenses, land cost, and capital expenses.

  • Payroll Errors a. This provision applies when the Director of Personnel Services determines that an error has been made in relation to the base salary, overtime cash payment, or paid leave accruals, balances, or usage. In such cases the County shall, for purposes of future compensation, adjust such compensation to the correct amount. The Director also shall give written notice to the employee.

  • Correction of Errors Contractor shall perform, at its own cost and expense and without reimbursement from the District, any work necessary to correct errors or omissions which are caused by the Contractor’s failure to comply with the standard of care required herein.

  • T ermination In the event that either party seeks to terminate this DPA, they may do so by mutual written consent and as long as any service agreement or terms of service, to the extent one exists, has lapsed or has been terminated. The LEA may terminate this DPA and any service agreement or contract with the Provider if the Provider breaches any terms of this DPA.

  • Volume Estimate The estimated volumes of timber by species designated for cutting under B2.3 and expected to be cut under Utilization Standards are listed in A2. If Sale Area Map indicates that there are incom- pletely Marked subdivisions, the objective of Forest Ser- vice shall be to designate for cutting in such subdivisions sufficient timber so that Sale Area shall yield the ap- proximate estimated volume by species or species groups stated in A2. However, the estimated volumes stated in A2 are not to be construed as guarantees or limitations of the timber volumes to be designated for cut- ting under the terms of this contract. Volume adjustments shall not be made under this Section after there is modification for Catastrophic Dam- age under B8.32.

  • ADJUSTMENT OF COMPLAINTS Standing Committee Can Call in Members for Discussions of Grievances with the Company. (Page 261, 1946 Transcript) It is agreed that the Union Standing Committee may call in any other employee to accompany them in their meetings with Company officials. Exhibit "A"
