Standby Definitions. 10 1. Non-Mandatory On-Call: Xxxxxxx assigned to a Nurse who has been 11 called off a normally scheduled shift. Xxxxxxx is assigned at the request 12 of the hospital, and typically assigned to volunteers. If there are no 13 volunteers, the Hospital may assign Non-Mandatory Standby (MRS). A 14 Nurse may choose to use PTO if called off a normally scheduled shift or 15 leave as MRS.
