Shift Rotations. Shift rotations shall normally consist of:
(a) Six (6) shifts of 11.25 hours and one (1) shift of 7.5 hours, or (b) Ten (10) shifts of 7.5 hours, or
Shift Rotations. If the Parties reach agreement regarding any changes in shift rotation, the details shall be reflected in a Memorandum of Agreement.
Shift Rotations. Shift rotations shall be selected in six-month blocks for twelve- hour shifts. Shift selection will be at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the next shift assignment period. The employer will post its personnel requirements for each shift. The employer will post a copy of the seniority list. Shifts will be selected by seniority. If at the end of that two-week period an employee is unable to pick a shift, management has the right to pick a shift for that employee. Upon request of members, the Chief of Police or his/her designee may consider voluntary trades of shift assignments mutually agreed upon by bargaining unit members.
Shift Rotations. The rotation of personnel between shifts and squads shall be minimized within the limitations of providing an adequate and efficient work force at all times. When rotation is necessary, the Employer will notify the affected employees as soon as reasonably possible. Such notifications shall occur no later than fifteen (15) calendar days prior to the personnel rotation, except when such employees are probationary officers, or waive this provision in writing, or when such rotations are needed due to a bona fide law enforcement emergency.

Shifts will be selected by seniority; however, all Sergeants must rotate every 24 months to a shift that is different than the shift that they worked the majority of their hours on in the immediate preceding four-month block. Sergeants will be allowed to identify, at the time of monthly shift selection, two of their scheduled leave days in each four-month shift period as “red letter days” (defined in G.O. 79-08) subject to the following conditions and procedures:

(b) The Employer shall provide at least sixty (60) days’ notice to the Union of its intent to change or revise shift rotations. The Parties shall meet and discuss the changes proposed by the Employer within fourteen (14) days of the notice.

The committee will consist of the xxxxxxx body and the Union Representative as well as management from the home, or their designate. The Employer and Union agree this committee will meet within 90 days of ratification or award.

(c) Such other combinations of shifts agreed to by the Union representatives of the Bargaining Unit Grievance Labour and Management Committee and the Employer that result in a total of seventy five (75) hours worked in a two (2) week period, or
(d) Such other combinations of shifts agreed to by the Union representatives of the Bargaining Unit Grievance and Labour Management Committee and the Employer that result in an average of seventy-five (75) hours worked in a two (2) week period as averaged over the duration of the rotation.
(e) The Union representatives of the Bargaining Unit Grievance and Labour Management Committee and the Employer may mutually agree to shift rotations other than those permitted by this Article for a particular Nurse or group of Nurses, subject to the principles of “smoothing” as set out in Article 7.07.
(f) Where the Employer agrees to a different rotation, the rotation shall remain in full force and effect until such time that one Party gives at least sixty (60) days advance notice of its intention to discontinue the rotation. The Parties shall meet within twenty (20) days of the notice being given to discuss the reasons for the change. The Parties will attempt to develop an alternative rotation. If no alternative can be agreed upon, the provisions of this Article 7.06 will apply. Not applicable to a Nurse Practitioner. (See Article 7.31 and 7.32)
