Common use of State and Federal Family and Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

State and Federal Family and Medical Leave. Nurses who have been employed by the Employer for at least twelve (12) months and have worked for the Employer at least twelve hundred fifty (1250) hours during the previous twelve (12) months are eligible for Family/Medical Leave in accordance with State and Federal laws. This agreement does not reduce a Nurse’s, right to Family Medical Leave under applicable State and Federal law: • birth of the employee’s child; • the placement of a child with the employee as a result of adoption or xxxxxx care; • the care of a spouse, domestic partner, child or parent with a serious health condition; • a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform her/his job.
