STATEMENT OF BELIEFS. The parties to this agreement encourage all employees to maintain and safeguard their personal health. Inherent in safeguarding personal health is the belief that employees should avoid the abuse of alcohol, prescription drugs, or controlled substances of all types. We believe that it is inappropriate for any teacher, administrator, or staff member who is impaired by drugs or alcohol to interact with students or endanger themselves or others. Further, the parties are committed to lawful employment practices for employees who seek assistance by self-disclosure and submission for drug or alcohol abuse or dependency evaluation and/or treatment.
