Statistical Techniques. 2.2.19.1 Identification of Need Developer shall identify the need for statistical techniques required for establishing, controlling, and verifying process capability and product characteristics. Developer shall review its operations for activities that may benefit from the use of statistical techniques as a means of establishing a level of control, the maintenance of an existing level of performance, and the verification of performance. The needs assessment could include determining an activity impact on cost, time management/utilization, and the quality of deliverables. It could also identify areas where the application of statistics would provide an indication of variation, activities efficiencies, and deviation control.
