Authority and Responsibility. A. DBEs and other small businesses are strongly encouraged to participate in the performance of Contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds (See 49 CFR 26, “Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Department of Transportation Financial Assistance Programs”). The Consultant must ensure that DBEs and other small businesses have the opportunity to participate in the performance of the work that is the subject of this solicitation and should take all necessary and reasonable steps for this assurance. The proposer must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the award and performance of subcontracts.
B. Consultants are encouraged to use services offered by financial institutions owned and controlled by DBEs.
Authority and Responsibility. (a) Producer is authorized and responsible in each State to train, use and supervise qualified professional insurance agents and solicitors who are duly qualified as provided in this agreement to sell the Products (“Subproducers”).
(b) Producer shall notify Company in writing immediately upon hiring or contracting with any Subproducer for solicitation of the Products and upon the filing or receipt of any notice of termination of any Subproducer. Producer shall provide or shall cause Subproducers to provide Company with appropriate authorization to allow Company to conduct such background and credit investigations of Subproducers as may be necessary or appropriate under applicable law. Insurer reserves the right of final approval of the appointment of any Subproducers. Insurer may, in the reasonable exercise of its discretion, cancel the appointment of any Subproducer, upon notice to Subproducer and Producer.
(c) Producer shall ensure that it and all Subproducers: (i) as fiduciary for Company, collect and submit purchase payments to Company by noon of the next business day following receipt thereof, such payments to be in the form of checks made payable solely to the order of Company, or at such time and by such other means (by wire or electronic transfers) as mutually agreed in writing; (ii) promptly deliver the Product contract to the purchaser, unless the contract has been sent by Company to the purchaser; (iii) record each transaction, including the fact of delivery, and maintain any other documentation reasonably requested by Company; (iv) responsibly perform in good faith each authorized action hereunder in accordance with Company’s administrative procedures as provided to Producer from time-to-time in writing and cooperate with Company as required to provide service to the purchasers of the Products; (v) make and record a determination as required by applicable law and regulation with respect to each purchaser that the purchase of the Product is suitable as to such purchaser based upon a thorough review of the current financial situation and needs of each purchaser, and notify Company promptly upon learning of any circumstances that render such suitability information inaccurate (If Company receives customer checks and purchase orders directly from Producer’s prospective purchasers it will, upon request, provide Producer with such copies as are necessary to make the required suitability determinations.); (vi) establish and implement reasonable proced...
Authority and Responsibility. Executive shall have authority and responsibility customarily applicable to the positions described in Section 3.1, and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by Vishay from time to time.
Authority and Responsibility. The Teacher agrees to work for the Board for said period and agrees to conform to and carry out all of the laws and all lawful rules and regulations including adopted Board policies which may be enacted relative to the conduct of schools, employees and/or students and to perform such other extracurricular activities as may from time to time be required by her/his supervisor.
Authority and Responsibility. The Engineer shall not guarantee the work of any contractor or subcontractor, shall have no supervision or control as to the work or persons doing the work, shall not have charge of the work, shall not be responsible for safety in, on, or about the job-site or have any control of the safety or adequacy of any equipment, building component, scaffolding, supports, forms or other work aids. If the Engineer determines that there are deficiencies in materials or workmanship on the Project, or otherwise deems it to be in the best interest of the City to do so, the Engineer shall be responsible to stop any contractor or subcontractor from performing work on the Project, until conditions giving rise to this need, therefore, are rectified.
Authority and Responsibility. Subject to policies and directives established by the Board and consistent with the Illinois Public Community College Act, the President shall act as the chief executive officer of the College. The President shall have authority and responsibility to organize, direct, manage and oversee the administration of the College in a manner intended to promote and advance the College's best interests. The President shall be in charge of the administration of the College and be under the direction of the Board; he shall be the chief executive officer for the Board, responsible and accountable for the leadership and management of the entire College and its programs, services and administrative functions; he shall direct and assign other employees of the Board under his supervision; he shall organize, reorganize and arrange the administration and supervisory staff, including instruction and business affairs, as best serves the College, subject to approval by the Board; he shall select, place, transfer and dismiss employees or, in the case of professional employees, recommend dismissal of such personnel subject to approval by the Board; he shall carry out the duties and responsibilities of the President as set forth in the Kaskaskia College Policy Manual, including changes to that manual that may be directed by the Board; he shall suggest policies, procedures, regulations and rules deemed necessary for the welfare of the College; and, in general, he shall perform all duties incident to the office of the President and such other duties as may be prescribed by the Board. The President shall be responsible for communicating with the Board on a regular and continuing basis so that the Board is advised on a timely basis of matters which might require policy guidance from the Board. The Board may further establish and designate the President's essential job responsibilities in a position description adopted by the Board.

The Contractor should ensure that DBEs and other SBs, have the opportunity to participate in the performance of the work that is the subject of this solicitation and should take all necessary and reasonable steps for this assurance. The bidder/proposer shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the award and performance of subcontracts.
B. Bidders/Proposers are encouraged to use services offered by financial institutions owned and controlled by DBEs.
Authority and Responsibility. Responsibilities may include (but not be limited to) the following representative duties:
1. Provide a communication link between faculty, Department Chair/APC/APD/Director and academic administrators
2. Recommend a schedule of course offerings and faculty schedules to the Department Chair/APC/APD/Director
3. Meet regularly with the academic administrators and Department Chair/Program Coordinator/Director
4. Facilitate group or program meetings
5. Serve as a liaison to the Curriculum Committee
6. Participate in new faculty orientation and faculty mentoring in the discipline
7. Make recommendations to the Department Chair/APC/APD/Director and the Xxxx for the program design, development, and review process
8. Make recommendations to the Department Chair/APC/APD/Director and Xxxx for the discipline review process
9. Assist with new program development
10. Under the supervision of the Department Chair/APC/APD/Director work with Human Resources to recruit, recommend for hire and evaluate part-time faculty
11. Gather and disseminate advisory committee meeting minutes (if appropriate)
12. Secure book orders for part-time faculty
13. When applicable meet with external college faculty for curricular purposes
14. Where applicable, oversee maintenance of facilities such as labs and related equipment
Authority and Responsibility. Executive shall have such authority and responsibility as is customary for the executive chairman of the board of directors and the chief technical and business development officer of a major multi-national corporation.
Authority and Responsibility. 3.1 This contract is executed under authority granted the Department by Sec 250.03(1)(e), (f), and (g).
3.2 The Department shall determine the scope of the inspection activities to be performed by the limited agent; furthermore, the Department shall reevaluate the scope as part of the analysis in section 2.3 of this contract.
3.3 The Department shall collect all fees, issue all permits, conduct pre-inspections and retain responsibility for all enforcement actions for all licensable establishments within the geographic jurisdiction of the limited agent, except as specifically delegated herein.
3.4 The Department shall establish minimum criteria regarding the credentials and qualifications of the person(s) employed by the limited agent to perform the inspection duties contained herein (see section 6). Acceptance of this contract by the limited agent signifies agreement to employ or contract with inspectors meeting such credentials and qualifications.
3.5 The Limited Agent shall annually inspect the facilities designated by the Department under contractual authority from Sec 250.03
(1) (e).
3.6 The Limited Agent shall be responsible for all inspection activities including follow ups, reinspections (see reinspection criteria) and complaint follow-up for licensed establishments under this contract. The Limited Agents responsibility begins after the Department has performed a preinspection and up until the Limited Agent has notified the Department that enforcement action is required. Once the enforcement action has been resolved by the Department, the Department will notify the Limited Agent of the action taken. Once enforcement actions have been resolved the Limited Agent will resume the activities as outlined in the contract.
3.7 The department will reimburse reinspections fees at the rate of 80%. Limited Agents shall use the reinspection criteria developed by the Department. Invoices (See Exhibit III) may be sent in quarterly, but processing and payment will occur after August 15th following the end of the licensing year. Reimbursement will occur only after payment has been received by the Department. No reimbursement will be made on reinspections if payment has not been received by the Department.
3.8 No additional fees may be levied by the Limited Agent upon inspected facilities.
