Statutory Holiday Qualifiers. In order to qualify for pay for a holiday as set out in Section 16.01 above, the employee shall complete his/her full scheduled shift on each of the working days immediately preceding and following the holiday unless excused by the Employer. In addition, if the employee is required to work by the Employer on the designated holiday the employee must work the designated holiday, unless excused by the Employer.
