STATUTORY RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. The Parties hereto agree that the foregoing Agreement shall not be construed or utilized in any manner that may impede or prevent any elected or appointed Macomb County Official from fulfilling or carrying out the Statutory or Constitutional duties of his or her office, provided however that the foregoing shall not be construed to diminish, impede, or abrogate the responsibilities, duties and obligations of the Employer as provided by the Public Employment Relations Act as well as other applicable statutes and case law.
