Step 2: Appeal to Department Head. Should the grievance remain unresolved, the unit member or Union representative may, within ten (10) working days of receipt of the supervisor's decision, submit the grievance in writing to the department head. The department head or director or his/her designated representative shall respond to the grievance in writing within ten (10) working days after receipt of the grievance.
