Common use of Step 2 Clause in Contracts

Step 2. If the grievance is not settled at Step 1, the written grievance may, no later than five (5) working days after the time limitation set forth above for Step 1,be referred by the Grievant UNION or EMPLOYER involved to the COORDINATOR for discussion and resolution by the COORDINATOR, if possible. The Coordinator, within 10 days, then attempts to resolve the grievance between the Grievant and Respondent. If the grievance is not resolved with the help of the Coordinator, either party has 5 working days to request, in writing, a Grievance Board of Adjustment hearing. If the Grievance Board of Adjustment is requested, a hearing shall be scheduled within 5 working days of receipt of written notice
