Common use of Step 2 Clause in Contracts

Step 2. If not then settled at Step 1, the written grievance may be submitted by the grievor and the Chief Xxxxxxx to the Director of Staff Relations, or designate, within five (5) days after the decision in Step 1. The Director of Staff Relations, or designate, shall meet with the grievance committee, hereinafter constituted within fifteen (15) days following the presentation of the grievance. There may be present a representative of the Union if requested by either party and such others as the Director of Staff Relations, or designate, considers necessary. The Director of Staff Relations, or designate, shall render a decision in writing to the chairperson of the Union Grievance Committee and the grievor within ten (10) days following the above meeting.
