Common use of Step One – Dispute Resolution Clause in Contracts

Step One – Dispute Resolution. It is understood that before the dispute is put in writing, the employee’s immediate supervisor will have an opportunity to discuss and address the dispute. Within twenty (20) working days following the circumstances giving rise to a dispute, Local 79, through the Local 79 Xxxxxxx, shall request a meeting with the employee’s immediate supervisor, who shall arrange a meeting within ten (10) working days of receiving the request. The employee shall be accompanied by a Local 79 Xxxxxxx or an available Local 79 Representative. Within three (3) working days of the date of the Step One – Dispute Resolution meeting, the supervisor will advise the Local 79 Xxxxxxx and employee in writing whether the dispute was denied, granted or resolved. Any resolutions reached at this step shall be without prejudice or precedent.

Within twenty five (205) working days following the circumstances giving rise to a the dispute, Local 79, through the Local 79 Xxxxxxx, 2998 shall request a meeting with the employee’s immediate supervisormanager, who shall arrange a meeting within ten five (105) working days of receiving the request. The employee shall be accompanied by a Local 79 Xxxxxxx 2998 xxxxxxx or an available Local 79 Representative2998 representative. Within three (3) working days of the date of the Step One – Dispute Resolution resolution meeting, the supervisor manager will advise the Local 79 Xxxxxxx 2998 xxxxxxx and the employee in writing whether the dispute was denied, granted or resolved. Any resolutions reached at this step shall be without prejudice or precedent.
