Step One - Immediate Supervisor. 1. Any Employee having a possible grievance shall discuss the matter informally with his/her immediate supervisor, with a Union Representative present, if requested. If the matter is not resolved, it may be moved to Step 2 (B‐2). 2. The Union may submit a grievance, in writing, to the immediate supervisor or Director, stating the remedy or correction requested, plus the facts upon which the grievance is based and the alleged contract violation. The Employee and the Union shall sign the grievance. 3. The immediate supervisor or Director shall have five (5) work days from the date of receipt to respond to the grievance. If the grievance is not resolved or there is no written response from the immediate supervisor or Director within five (5) work days from receipt of the grievance, it may be moved to Step Two.
