Common use of Stewards and Alternates Clause in Contracts

Stewards and Alternates. The number of stewards shall be as mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Union. The Union will furnish the Superintendent of Schools with the names of its authorized representatives and such changes as may occur from time to time in such personnel so that the Employer may at all times be advised as to the authority of the individual representatives of the Union with which it may be dealing. The Employer agrees in return through the Office of the Superintendent to keep the Union advised as to its representatives. There shall be three (3) Union stewards; one representing the custodial employees, one representing all food service employees and one representing the bus drivers and mechanic.
