Stipend Compensation. A one-time stipend shall be made to Bus Drivers that are actively employed by East Xxxxx County Schools on July 1, 2016. The amount of the stipend shall be $300 for drivers whose hire date is prior to June 30, 2015 and $200 to drivers that were hired after June 30, 2015. The amounts of $300 and $200 are prior to taxes being taken/applied. The payment shall be made through EACS’s payroll system and be considered taxable wages. This stipend (i.e. compensation) is in lieu of an increase in hourly rates for calendar year 2016. The stipend shall occur in July 2016.

The total amount of the stipend shall be $500 for custodian employees employed by EACS on January 1, 2014 and $300 for custodian employees hired after January 1, 2014. EACS will also consider stipends in 2015 and 2016 for the Custodian group if EACS provides a stipend payment to other EACS employee groups and the same compensation conditions apply (i.e. percent increase, stipend amount).
