Common use of Strength of Insurer Clause in Contracts

Strength of Insurer. All insurance shall be placed with insurers that are reasonably acceptable to the Department and with an A.M. Best's rating of not less than a then-current rating of “A-” or better and a financial size category of Class XV or higher. All such insurers shall be licensed/approved to do business in the District of Columbia.
