STRUCTURE OF PROMOTION POSITIONS. (a) The Principal after consultation and agreement with the CSBB Central Office will determine the structure of promotion positions having regard to the allocated promotion points, the needs of the School and employer practice. (b) A School’s entitlement to promotion points in any year is determined by that school’s official enrolment as determined by the previous year’s census figure. (c) Changes to the structure of promotion positions will only be introduced after vacancies occur by way of movement of Teachers or expiration of existing appointments. As part of restructuring no Teacher will be forced to relinquish a promotion position to create such a vacancy.

The Board and the Association consider it desirable that teachers participate in extra-curricular activities, and recognize that participation in extra-curricular activities by the individual teacher is on a voluntary basis.
