Common use of Student Employee Clause in Contracts

Student Employee. It is recognized by the Union that as a matter of policy the University is committed to provide work opportunities for the students who, by definition, are excluded from the bargaining unit. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to impinge upon the above policy. However, in no case shall a regular employee covered by this Agreement be laid off or take a reduction in pay as a result of student employment in an operational district of the University.
