Common use of Submissions of Salary Increases Clause in Contracts

Submissions of Salary Increases. Salary increases must be made to be effective on the first day of the month and must be submitted prior to the proposed effective date. However, retroactive six (6) month and annual salary increases to correct errors of oversights and retroactive payments resulting from grievance settlements will be authorized. The effective date for six (6) month and annual salary increases must be the first day of the month. In no event shall any retroactivity exceed twelve (12) months from the date upon which the oversight or error is brought to the SOCP’s attention in writing or, in the case of a grievance settlement, the date the grievance was filed in writing.
