Subpoenaed Witnesses. 10.11.1 Any Unit 8 employee subpoenaed, or ordered by the employer to appear, as a witness by virtue of his/her State employment shall be considered to be on duty. Any fees collected for such appearance shall be turned over to the State. The provisions of this Section do not apply if the employee is a party to the proceeding unless ordered by the employer or the employer is also a party and is aligned on the same side as the employee. 10.11.2 Reasonable advance notice to the employee's supervisor shall be provided by the employee or by CDF FIREFIGHTERS prior to the requested witness appearance.
